Hi! How are you all doing? As many of you requested a tutorial/review of the products presented in the Bobbi Brown haul, I made it for you! This is my very first time doing this, and I feel a little bit out of my comfort zone. I have seen so many amazing beauty bloggers do way better, but I just wanna show you what I just recently learnt.
While I was filming the video, I noticed that the foundation did not felt as heavy as when the makeup artist applied it, the concealer did not really hide the dark circles, and did not notice much difference in between the side of my face with makeup and the one without. I knew the products were good because I saw him applying them, and my face looked completely fresh and not tired at all! But he is a makeup artist, and that is what he does best, while on the other hand...I'm terrible with makeup! So, I was a little disappointed with the video results, did not see much difference with the products I normally use, and thought I should keep on practicing before sharing it with you. At the end of the video, once I'm with Lemon, I have both sides of my face with makeup. I deleted the part were I mentioned that, as otherwise it was too long. But I really do not see much difference... do you?
But this all changed once I saw these pictures, taken right after filming the tutorial. That's when I realized how good it turned out to be! I think that's where you can see the real results. To compare with my "before" make up look, you can check this post. I do not photoshop my pictures, and in the first link you can barely see black circles!
That said... here comes my "review"
- At first, I was not a fan of the Corrector nor the Creamy concealer kit... thought they looked the same as my other concealers. Of course, I know the product is really good, and it was just me using it wrong. But, after seeing the pictures from the last post... I love these two items!!! Can't wait to see how it will look once I know how to use them well :)
- The Foundation is definitely my fave one. I love the texture and the feeling...and applying it with a brush instead of sponges or fingers, just feels amazing! 5 stars!
- I got the basic brush collection, which is really good, and I love... But I know they have better ones. I would love to try the "upgrade" version of the Face blush brush... but that's just me being picky.
- And last, but not least, the bronzing powder! I would get it again, with all the rest of the products... but it is not a favorite, even though I did love the result!!!
Now, here is a question to all my video bloggers savvy. Should I change the lightning when I make such videos? Is it better natural or artificial light? I can't stop thinking at how different the result in the pictures look from the one in the videos. Please, share ur knowledge ^^
Hope you liked this post! Totally out of my comfort zone...
Let me know what you think!
